Sidni A. Justus, Ph.D.
Principal Investigator
I am a lifelong Georgian - growing up in a small town in northwest GA before making my way down to Atlanta where I completed my undergraduate and doctoral degrees at Georgia Tech and eventually making my way to KSU! My research interests span cognition, memory, and attention in developmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I have explored these from both early childhood and aging perspectives. I am currently investigating the role of emotion in memory and metamemory and the supporting neural activity in ASD adults across the lifespan. I am proud to work alongside my wonderful team of undergraduates as well as faculty and graduate student collaborators from KSU and other universities. When not teaching or in the lab, I love spending time with my husband, Connor, our daughter, Mila, and our two dogs, Yoshi and Peach.

Emily Hutson, B.S.
Research Coordinator
I received my bachelors of science in psychology with a minor in data science and analytics from KSU in 2024. During my time at Kennesaw, I spent two years as a research assistant in the Justus lab. After graduation, I joined Georgia Tech as a lab manager for a memory and aging lab that utilized VR to facilitate memory recollection. I am so excited to join the Justus lab again, this time as the lab manager! In my free time, I love to hang out with friends, go line dancing, and I am currently learning how to play the violin.
