Current Projects

We are currently investigating the behavioral and neural indices of episodic memory in adults with and without Autism Spectrum Disorder. Specifically, we are interested in the effects of emotional valence and arousal on episodic memory. 

We are currently investigating Pre-K–12 teachers’ experiences with ASD, ADHD, and comorbid (ASD+ADHD) students to better understand their implicit attitudes and support needs. Specifically, we are investigating teachers’ knowledge of ASD+ADHD comorbidity, preparedness, neurodiversity attitudes, and disorder-specific knowledge.

We are also exploring relationships between mental health, autistic symptom severity, masking of autistic symptoms. We are evaluating the predictive role of these lived experiences on quality of life in adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

We are collecting behavioral and electroencephalography (EEG) data on the ways in which background music and other sounds can influence your attention and later memory for various types of stimuli. 

We are also collecting data on mindfulness and how this can affect cognitive processes specifically in current collegiate student athletes.
